GEMMA HITCHINGS IS SPENDING A NIGHT IN THE CELLS

Funeral Director by day… inmate for the night. What could possibly go wrong?
I’ve somehow agreed to swap being in control of everything to being locked in a police cell at Cardiff Prison – all in support of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress’ charity appeal.
In my day job, I’m calm, organised and make sure everything runs exactly as it should. Now I’m putting myself in a situation where I’ll be told what to do and when to do it… which, if you know me, I don’t take well at all and definitely isn’t something I’m used to! But I’ll deal with it… it won’t break me.
Supporting the Forget Me Not Chorus means a lot to me, as dementia affects so many of the families I care for, and what they do is incredible. And as a dog mum to two very spoilt dogs, supporting the Rescue Hotel for Dogs was an easy yes, every dog deserves a proper second chance.
Let’s be honest… this is not my kind of night out. But as they say, “ You do the crime then you the time!” 😆If it raises money for two amazing charities, then I’ll take one for the team… just don’t expect me to come out any more well-behaved than I went in 👀
