Adrian and Jayne had the great pleasure of listening to the wonderful Côr Bryn Owain Choir last night at Holy Cross Church in Cowbridge, which was arranged and hosted by the very hard-working High Sheriff of South Glamorgan, Janet Davies. The evening was held in aid of the South Wales Police Youth Trust.
The Chief Constable of South Wales Police was a member of the choir alongside his family. He also spoke about the South Wales Police Youth Trust, which was set up in 2009 as a registered charity which provides grants to organisations and projects offering young people an alternative path than that of being drawn into crime, anti-social behaviour and substance misuse.
The aim of the charity is for those young people who have had some experience of the criminal justice system to be given the chance to build the foundations to make more positive life choices, have better relationships and improved mental and physical well-being.
