LORD MAYOR OF CARDIFF 2025/26

I’m taking part in the ‘Night in the Cells’ charity event to help raise funds for two fantastic charities that do incredible work in our communities. I’ve always been passionate about supporting charitable causes, but this is definitely the most unusual way I’ve ever done it!

Having never been in trouble with the police before, my site team thought it would be a “valuable experience” for me to spend a night in the cells, I’m still not entirely sure whether that was support or a suggestion! Either way, I’m willing to take one for the team if it helps raise some money for great causes.

I’ll admit I’m slightly nervous about the interrogation from the Chief Constable and his officers, especially as I’ll be defending myself against a crime I didn’t commit. To make matters even more interesting, the highest donor gets to decide what crime I’m arrested for… so I’m hoping no one has any particularly creative ideas!
