Glo Aur Commemorative Walk to Insole Court

It was an honour for Adrian and Jayne to welcome the walkers who had completed the Glo Aur commemorative walk to Insole Court in Llandaff.

The weather varied from very hot to extremely wet along their 19mile route and Adrian congratulated them on completing the distance. The walk was to commemorate the 114 boys and men killed at the Cymmer pit explosion in 1856 and as an act of remembrance the walkers carry a piece of coal which is placed in the memorial at Insole Court.
